On this spot, on a warm November 24th in 2008, young Gerald Mackinney dropped his ice cream. It was an immediate local tragedy that left tears for a good half an hour. He was unconsolable over this great injustice that had occurred. There was no blame to point to — no culprit was responsible. It was another of life's lessons.
