Live Oak Park

On this spot, built in 1934, Berkeley's majestic dinosaur park is publicly opened. The bones of the Pyrophosaurus and Allosaurustron (dated 170 million years ago) were discovered in this location by UC Berkeley paleontologist Ernest Davis in 1929. Technically his dog Charlemagne found the bones, but Ernest took the credit-and the bones.

Thanks to LEG for providing me with the location of this plaque!
